With great pain I’m scratching dirt,
stashed under my lacquered nail…
I clean and wash and scrub some more, until I hurt
But it comes back, again and again and again.
I’d rather not share my fail,
introverts seldom complain.

The poem is explicit enough so I’ll use this note to talk about the Tatra mountain from the picture. We reached Zakopane in polish Tatra mountains right after visiting Auschwitz memorial. That memorial in winter, under spotless white snow and below degree temperature is daunting, and impose deep introspection. By contrast, the Zakopane leg of the trip felt liberating and a celebration of life despite freezing temperatures.
