Effy’s diary: A day with the “Thriving Hellebore”
On a sunday morning in the bustling Shanghai MixCity, Effy wanders… strolling around shops, her mind bouncing between the workshop’s finance, her new designs’ ideas and a strong urge to take some time off and relax without guilt.
Browsing, Effy thought: “why is it that all these lotions still can’t make my skin as smooth as silk?… hard earn money, and yet nothing worth spending it on… at least cheesy pearl tea can never go wrong…” Unaware, the saccharine reflections of fandango lights piqued the manager’s curiosity. “Hi… may I help you” was his shy attempt at connecting with her. “Ohhh… sure, why not… do you know a place fun enough to make me forget the week, at least for an hour?”. His smile was somewhat intoxicating. Tender yet confident, that amused her, and triggered her competitive side… she will have fun, and he will entertain her, at least for a day… Effy flirtatiously staring at his words has its effect, the manager stammered: “I… I know right… right the place… co… come… oh… but… but this dress… might not… I mean…”. “You’re cute, you know that? Just wait for me, and I’ll be yours to take wherever…” Effy’s languorous blink had the manager staring at her slender gait as she disappears behind the shop’s corner. Dumbstruck by its luck, the managers did not have time to regain his mind, as Effy reappeared, covered in teal. A warmer style, more conservative too, and yet still that pretty lightness. “How… how did you?? where is your oth… other dress”. “It’s magic I say… so, where are you taking my bore?” “Up…” he did not have time to finish his sentence that Effy was already leading the way to the escalator, joyfully ordering: “So… you keep up?”
Still speechless, the manager follows… As they reach the upper floor, an immense ice rink open itself. “Have you ever skate?”. Slightly humbled, Effy had to admit that she never. “I’ll show you, it’s quite simple really”. Looking at the manager’s strong arms, Effy somehow start looking forward to falling into them… and she had the perfect excuse…

An hour and countless laughter later, the Zamboni stop the juvenile attraction that was building between Effy and her mysterious encounter. As Effy was waiting for the manager to end his polite formalities with the ice rink staff, she contemplates her interesting day. 
A gentle voice suddenly broke her thoughts: “Want to grab a bite?”… “Sure do…” As the manager call her friend from Dynasty restaurant, Effy swiftly slipped away. “It’s ok, we got a tabl…” Effy was nowhere to be found when the manager raise his head, his mobile in hand. Has he been dreaming all this time? A soft voice from across the room draws him back to Earth. “Missing me already?” Here she was, in her flamboyant purple silk, awaiting by the escalator for her knight of the day. “Ho… how??”… “Magic I say… ok, you’re cute enough to know, it’s reversible!… all this got me hungry, let’s go then…”
